Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday night. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his team members.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the loss of his two close friends.”
