The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
