The First Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
In numerous discussions, fans keep sounding the death bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing on PS5 topics as a new development. 2025 was complete chaos for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft continues to plan to draw people in with quality releases on its key platform.
The Immediate Additions
The two games you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Upcoming Headline Games
Come mid-January, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up conventional open-world tropes with a space-faring criminal escapade. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."
Noteworthy Smaller Games
But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that's a blast to play, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they were due initially — which makes them excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass.
Be prepared to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
